| ABOUT CORNWALL - Cornwall is famous for its sandy beaches, especially those round St Ives Bay that is also an excellent surfing area. Immediately to the west of St Ives the coast path leads over high cliffs and above small coves to provide some of the most spectacular scenery in all England. Penzance, St Michaels Mount and the South Coast are only 6 miles away, and Land's End, with numerous little coves and ancient tin mines to explore, is just 16 miles down the scenic coast road and on the other side of Penwith Moors (great walking country!). Whatever your interests you will never be short of things to do or nearby places of interest to visit. From Penzance you may wish to take a day trip by helicopter or boat to the Isles of Scilly or visit Newquay, the surfing capital of Britain, and the amazing Eden Project is within easy reach just 25 miles up the A30
