There are 5 Lakeside Log Cabins, set in a secluded Cornish Valley. Beautiful location, with 3 lakes onsite (a carp lake, trout lake & coarse lake). Only a short walk to a sandy beach with views over the bay towards Looe Island. Looe is a historic Cornish fishing port with quaint streets, cafes, restaurants, Inns, lots of shops, harbour, river, sandy beach, hidden coves and island. This unique valley location is perfect for a holiday with the three log cabins set lakeside and two set in the meadow below in the beautiful Cornish countryside. The valley is a privately owned and the proprietor is a keen conservationist. This is not like a commercial site, the grounds around the cabins are not neatly manicured for modern effect. The site is distinctly rustic adding to the natural charm of the valley, for example the owner lets things like the nettles grow for the butterflies to enjoy a natural habitat. There are also chickens & ducks roaming freely around the lakes & grounds. Just a 3 minute drive to Looe. Nearby is Polperro, which is a picturesque Cornish fishing village with traditional white painted cottages overlooking the harbour, famed for its history of smuggling & fishing. The heritage museum at Polperro has old photos and exhibits.

FREE FISHING DURING YOUR STAY AT LAKESIDE VALLEY CABINS - YOU CAN FISH (USING BARBLESS HOOKS) THE 3 LAKES ONSITE HERE FREE FOR FUN (THERE IS A TROUT, COARSE & CARP LAKE)... But for the more professional fishermen, Fly and Coarse fishing is available at nearby Bake Fishing Lakes (5 miles from Lakeside Log Cabin), 7 lakes set in 30 picturesque acres of the Cornish countryside. Tuition and equipment hire are available from the lakeside tackle shop. No membership required, the lakes are open from 8.00 until dusk all year. CLICK THE LINK TO VISIT WWW.BAKELAKES.CO.UK ACCOMMODATION The 5 Lakeside Log Cabins are let from Saturday to Saturday and sleep a total of 20-30 guests (each cabin sleeps 4-6), keys are made available from 3.30pm onwards on the first day of your holiday and the property is to be vacated by 10.30am on the last day of your holiday. (Shorter breaks are available out of main season, subject to availability). Four of the Log Cabins have level access with one Log Cabin having steps up to it. Balconies have views over the lakes or the wooded valley. Patio furniture is provided, should you decide to dine alfresco and enjoy the views. Lakeside Log Cabins are available all year and benefits out of season from having central heating. Each of the 5 Log Cabins (all cabins have 2 bedrooms and sleep 4-6) onsite have the following (with the exception of 1 cabin which has a bath with shower over)... The kitchen areas have an integrated worktop gas hob, combination microwave grill and oven, fridge/ice-box, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and an ample supply of cutlery, crockery and pots and pans. Two tea-towels are also provided. The double bedrooms have a 4'6 pine bed, pine wardrobe, and a bed side table and lamp. Bed linen is provided and included in the tariff. The twin bedrooms have two 3' pine beds, a pine chest of drawers and lamp. Bed linen is provided and included in the tariff. Additional bed linen for up to two more guests (sleeping on a double sofa-bed in the lounge) is available, there is a surcharge of £10.00 per person. The bathrooms have a W.C, wash basin and walk-in shower cubicle with a wall-mounted electric shower, mirror and towel rail. The lounges have a sofa, double sofa-bed, a coffee table, 14" colour television including video and double doors leading out to the balcony. Covered balconies have great lake or countryside views at any time of the day or evening and each has a wall mounted outside light. There is a communal wooden out building for the log cabins in the valley, containing a large American - Style washing machine & tumble dryer. Private parking is free in the valley for holiday guests renting Lakeside Valley Cabins. Electricity is included in the tariff. Dogs are accepted by arrangement (at the owners discretion) and must be kept on a lead on site, however there are woodland walks nearby and an all year dog friendly beach at Seaton which is a short drive away. The owners also have a field within a 1 minute walk away where dogs can be exercised. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION : The Owners' insist that Children MUST be supervised at all times on site. The Log Cabins are located around 20ft from the lakes and it is Condition of Rental that Children must be supervised by an adult at all times onsite. Please be mindful of this when booking.
