Oakridge is an exclusive development of detached holiday and golf lodges set on the side of a beautiful valley between the Cornish villages of Pillaton and St Mellion, Cornwall. Oakridge is a golfer's paradise and whilst staying at 11 Woburn Lodge, guests will enjoy visitor membership to the St Mellion International Golf & Country Club with golf, indoor pool, health suite, restaurant & bar. As well as offering superb golf, Oakridge is an ideal base from which to explore many local places of interest, including the Eden Project (45 minutes away). St Mellion is a small village in South East Cornwall that is well situated for access to the full range of local facilities. ST MELLION INTERNATIONAL GOLF CLUB - Set amongst 450 acres of unspoiled Cornish countryside, rolling hills, woodland, rivers and lakes, St. Mellion International offers one of the finest golf experiences available in the UK today. There are restaurants, pubs and shops close by and local estates and farms offer horse riding - as well as fresh local produce such as eggs, cream and pasties! Nearby there are National Trust properties at Cotehele and Lanhydrock as well as slightly further afield, the magnificent Lost Gardens of Heligan and, of course, the world-famous Eden Project . The region offers excellent walking on Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor and there are superb beaches within a 20-30 minute drive. Plymouth is within easy reach, with good shops and many interesting places to visit including the Barbican, the Hoe and the National Marine Aquarium. For those wishing to avoid the hustle and bustle, the traditional fishing villages of Looe and Polperro , with their maze of narrow streets and picturesque harbours, provide a perfect day out. GOLF UPGRADES - If you wish to play golf, we offer a range of upgrade packages and are happy to be flexible to accommodate any specific requests you may have. LEISURE - St Mellion has excellent leisure facilities which include the Aero Leisure & Spa with it's three swimming pools - a 25m exercise pool, a freeform leisure and a children's pool. There is also a spa pool, steam room, sauna and fully equipped gym. The Elemis Spa offers a wide range of treatments. There is an on site crèche run by fully trained staff which can take children from birth to 12 years old. In addition, there are tennis and squash courts. In addition to the free adult leisure memberships included in the price, additional memberships may be purchased from St Mellion for £30 pounds per week, junior (age 5-16 years) memberships are £15 per week, £4 per day and children under age 5 years are free. Leisure - All charges related to the use of St Mellion leisure facilities are payable direct. RESTAURANTS & BARS - There are two main restaurants plus separate bars and lounges. The An Boesti restaurant offers fine dining with locally sourced produce. The Bewdern Brasserie is more informal and overlooks the 18th Green on the Jack Nicklaus course. The Nicklaus Bar is a great place to enjoy a few drinks and light snacks whilst enjoying the lovely views across the golf course and beyond. ACCOMMODATION DETAILS 11 Woburn Lodge, Oakridge, St Mellion is let from Saturday to Saturday, keys are made available from 4.00pm onwards on the first day of your holiday and the property is to be vacated by 11.00am on the last day of your holiday. The Lodge sleeps 6 guests, there are excellent views over the St. Mellion courses and surrounding countryside as well as an outdoor barbecue area with patio/decking and gardens. Fly & Coarse fishing at Trerulefoot is about 6 miles away. The Spacious lounge/dining room has comfortable seating, a coffee table, Hi-fi unit, feature fireplace, an attractive wooden floor with rugs, colour television with digital and satellite channels and video , dining table and chairs for 6. There are french doors leading to a balcony offering stunning views. Shaker-style kitchen with cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine/dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster and an ample supply of cutlery, crockery and pots & pans. The Master bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables, lamps, fitted wardrobe, en-suite bathroom and French doors leading out to the patio. The Twin bedroom has 2 single (3ft) beds, wardrobe, bedside table, lamp, radio/alarm and en-suite shower room. The Third bedroom has 2 single (3ft) beds, fitted hanging rail, bedside table, lamp, radio/alarm and en-suite shower room. There are ironing facilities and hairdryers at the Lodge. A cot is available upon request. There is no hire charge for the cot. Cost includes welcome pack, weekly cleaning service (mid-week cleaning available on request) . Bed linen and towels are provided and included in the tariff. Electricity is included in the tariff. There is a strict no smoking policy in the property, however smoking is permitted in the barbecue area. No pets allowed. The Lodge sleeps 6 guests, there are excellent views over the St. Mellion courses and surrounding countryside as well as an outdoor barbecue area with patio/decking and gardens.
